OUR RELATIONSHIP
WITH
Bad Wolf Studios
Our relationship with Bad Wolf began in the early 2020s, when LUNA TIDES was brought in to support a growing volume of corporate, creative and outreach content. As the studio’s production slate expanded, their need grew for a flexible and dependable creative partner who could work at pace while maintaining a consistent standard across different types of content.
Over the course of the relationship, we have worked as an extension of the Bad Wolf team across events, interviews, documentaries, behind-the-scenes films, EPKs, podcasts and internal communications. Our work has supported major productions including His Dark Materials, A Discovery of Witches, The Winter King and Dope Girls, alongside leadership, stakeholder and wider studio content.
More recently, this collaboration extended to Bad Wolf’s Blaidd Writers’ Programme, where LUNA TIDES was commissioned to document the programme and the emerging writers involved. This project built on our existing understanding of Bad Wolf’s creative environment while giving us the opportunity to tell a different kind of story - one focused on the development of new talent and the people behind the next generation of television.
A valued partner in the production process!
Bad Wolf Studios
FEATURED WORK

In early 2025, Bad Wolf launched its Blaidd Writers Programme to support emerging screenwriting talent in Wales through paid mentorship, masterclasses and guidance from initial idea through to pitch and script. As a new programme, Blaidd needed to communicate its purpose, process and early impact to Bad Wolf’s partners and the wider creative industry, while building awareness and momentum for future cohorts.
LUNA TIDES was brought in to document the programme as it unfolded and translate its impact into an engaging, accessible documentary. The focus was on capturing the experience from the inside - following the writers’ development, the collaborative process behind the programme and the outcomes achieved during its first year.
LUNA TIDES took a documentary-led approach to capturing the programme, working closely with programme leads and participants to ensure filming felt natural, supportive and non-intrusive. Building trust with the writers was central to the process, with clear expectations established from the outset and a consistent presence throughout the programme. This helped participants feel comfortable and confident on camera, allowing their voices and experiences to shape the storytelling rather than simply documenting the programme from the outside.
Filming took place across key stages and moments of the programme, combining observational footage with in-depth interviews to capture both the writers’ individual development journeys and the collaborative environment around them. The content was captured with multiple outputs in mind, from short, social-first films and longer-form interviews through to the eventual full documentary, giving Bad Wolf flexibility in how the story could be shared across different platforms and audiences.
Throughout production, we maintained broadcast-level standards across filming, sound and post-production, while keeping the process sensitive and responsive to the people involved. This balance allowed us to document the programme authentically while creating polished content capable of communicating Blaidd’s impact to writers, industry partners and funders alike.

The project delivered a comprehensive body of content documenting the inaugural year of the Blaidd Writers Programme and celebrating the achievements of its first cohort. This included a full documentary exploring the programme in depth, alongside social-first films, interviews and a trailer announcing the cohort’s successful completion.
The work also extended beyond the core documentary, with LUNA TIDES providing event coverage for the launch of Blaidd in January 2025, as well as video, photography, headshots and group imagery of the writers and teams involved. We also supported Bad Wolf Studios’ wider communications through event coverage of its 10-year anniversary celebrations.
The resulting content has been used to promote Blaidd, support stakeholder engagement and encourage Welsh writers to apply for future cohorts. Together, the assets have helped establish the programme’s identity, communicate its value to the wider industry and create a lasting record of its first year and its impact on emerging writing talent in Wales.
