OUR RELATIONSHIP
WITH
Half Bad
In 2022, LUNA TIDES partnered with PR agency IJPR to support the high-profile digital campaign for the Netflix original fantasy series, The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself (originally publicised as Half Bad). Having established a reliable track record in high-end television (HETV) publicity workflows, our team was trusted by IJPR to spearhead the post-production and creative editing of a flagship promotional interview package. The content was destined for Netflix Geeked, the streaming giant's official home for global genre content and fan engagement.
This is great, it works really well for the social versions. You've done a great job of keeping the pacing fast and engaging.

FEATURED WORK

To coincide with the global rollout of the highly anticipated series, the publicity team required a polished, fast-paced, and deeply engaging digital featurette. The piece needed to stitch together a major press junket in London, featuring the show's cast alongside legendary executive producer and actor Andy Serkis.
The primary mission was to craft an edit that elevated standard interview material into a must-watch piece of social entertainment. The final deliverable had to meet the rigorous tone, quality, and formatting standards of Netflix's global marketing machine, ensuring it would immediately hook fans and drive digital conversation ahead of the premiere.
With an electric cast dynamic already captured in the footage, our post-production team focused on pacing, narrative structure and atmosphere to shape the conversation into a compelling featurette. We carefully selected and structured the strongest moments, bringing out the cast chemistry, key insights and behind-the-scenes experiences shared by Andy Serkis and the young lead actors.
Because the content was built specifically for social-first consumption via Netflix Geeked, we tailored the visual energy of the piece to match. We leaned into snappy editorial rhythms, sharp audio transitions, and stylised graphic choices that amplified the show's dark, high-stakes fantasy themes.
The aim was to strike the right balance between genuine behind-the-scenes insight and entertainment, creating a piece that felt natural to the platform while giving fans something they would want to watch and share.

The collaboration resulted in a highly successful digital rollout, delivering a captivating final featurette that resonated instantly with international audiences. Upon its release on official Netflix Geeked channels, the interview piece achieved immense digital traction, rapidly accumulating over 200,000 views and generating significant fan engagement across platforms. The project demonstrated our ability to transform raw talent footage into polished, engaging social content that performs at scale and connects with audiences across international markets.
