OUR RELATIONSHIP
WITH

NHS Wales

Our work with NHS Wales began after LUNA TIDES was appointed through a competitive tender process to support workforce and careers communications. Working with teams across Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board (BCUHB), the largest health organisation in Wales, we were brought in to create high-quality digital content showcasing innovative approaches to healthcare delivery across North Wales.

From the outset, we worked closely with NHS teams to understand their priorities, audiences and the realities of working across primary and community care. This helped us shape clear, role-specific stories and interview approaches that allowed staff to share their experiences naturally and meaningfully.

Working within the logistical, safeguarding and compliance requirements of a major public health organisation, the project also required a collaborative and carefully managed production and post-production process, with content developed and refined alongside multiple teams and stakeholders.

This is brilliant! Thank you so much for turning those changes around so quickly. The films look fantastic.

  • The project aimed to tell a clearer, more engaging story about careers across primary and community care, helping audiences understand the range of roles available, how careers can develop and what working within the health board can look like in practice.

With audiences ranging from students and career-changers to existing staff and industry partners, the content needed to make often complex career pathways feel clear, relatable and achievable. The objective was to create a coherent suite of regional recruitment and profile films rooted in lived experience, including specific features for areas such as Tywyn.

The resulting content needed to work as both a recruitment and educational resource, accurately reflecting modern primary care while adhering to NHS regional branding requirements. This also meant balancing detailed staff interviews and professional insight with a clear, accessible narrative structure.

  • Filming took place within live healthcare environments, so sensitivity and careful planning were central to the approach. Schedules were built around staff availability, crews were kept small and efficient, and filming was carried out with minimal disruption to clinical settings and day-to-day operations. This allowed us to capture authentic experiences and conversations while respecting the demands of each location.

In post-production, the focus was on clarity, precision and flexibility. Interviews were carefully structured to bring out the strongest and most relevant insights, while content was developed with both recruitment and educational use in mind. We worked through detailed feedback and multiple revisions to refine key talking points, visual sequences and narrative structure, ensuring the final films remained clear and accessible.

Where complex multi-microphone recordings created inconsistencies between audio and picture, we carefully matched and refined the tracks to maintain seamless continuity. We also worked closely with the NHS teams throughout post-production, incorporating visual changes, bilingual graphic assets and official branding requirements while keeping the projects moving to schedule.

  • The project delivered a polished series of workforce and careers films that clearly communicated roles, training routes and opportunities across primary and community care, receiving strong feedback and formal approval from NHS Wales stakeholders. Together, the films created a consistent, accessible and compliant suite of resources for recruitment, education and workforce engagement.

The content has since been used across NHS digital platforms, recruitment campaigns and stakeholder communications, giving the Health Board a library of assets with value beyond the original campaign. Feedback from NHS teams highlighted the clarity, professionalism and authenticity of the films, with staff contributors feeling accurately represented and recruitment teams valuing the flexibility of the content.

By combining detailed staff interviews with engaging supporting footage and managing complex revisions efficiently, LUNA TIDES delivered a sustainable content library that continues to support workforce recruitment while communicating the evolving role of primary and community care across North Wales.
