OUR RELATIONSHIP
WITH
Sunbelt Rentals
Our relationship with Sunbelt Rentals developed through our work producing the second brand film for Screen Alliance Wales (SAW), during a period when Sunbelt was a sponsor and partner of the organisation. As one of the UK’s leading equipment rental providers to the film and television industry, this provided a natural opportunity to build a working relationship with their team.
Following our work together on the brand film, Sunbelt commissioned LUNA TIDES to produce additional marketing content. This commercial relationship subsequently led to an invitation for LUNA TIDES to support Sunbelt’s specialist training programme, delivering sessions on camera equipment and asset care as part of the ScreenSkills Kit Care Training Programme in partnership with Salford University.
The relationship has therefore developed across both commercial content production and industry skills development, reflecting a shared focus on practical equipment knowledge and best practice within the film and television sector.

FEATURED WORK

The project had two distinct objectives: to capture a range of Sunbelt facility scenes for inclusion within the wider Screen Alliance Wales brand film, while also creating a substantial library of standalone commercial marketing assets for Sunbelt.
The scale of the deliverables was significant, with the production requiring more than 1,000 product photographs alongside 150 individual video assets. The challenge was to manage both production streams efficiently within the same live environments, coordinating two teams working simultaneously while maintaining a consistent creative and technical standard and keeping the production on schedule.
Detailed pre-production was key to managing the scale of the project and keeping both production streams moving efficiently. For the SAW narrative track, we developed a detailed shot list and creative plan in advance, identifying the dialogue, facility scenes and environmental footage needed to support the wider brand film. At the same time, Sunbelt provided a technical breakdown of the equipment requiring new commercial assets, allowing us to plan the photography and video requirements in detail.
LUNA TIDES led the creative and technical approach for the product content, selecting cameras, lenses and lighting configurations to create a consistent visual treatment across the asset library. Distinct setups were designed to showcase each piece of equipment clearly while maintaining a strong commercial look.
With a tight production window, we split the crew into two dedicated units. One focused on setting up, lighting and capturing the product photography and video catalogue, while the second moved through the facilities capturing B-roll and narrative material for the SAW brand film. Working in parallel allowed both teams to maximise the available time, respond quickly to changes in equipment requirements and maintain a high standard across the full volume of deliverables.

The project delivered more than 1,000 professionally graded product photographs and 150 optimised promotional video assets, fulfilling the original scope across both photography and video.
Despite real-time changes to equipment requirements during production, the two-unit approach allowed the team to respond quickly without compromising the wider delivery schedule. Priority assets, including key lighting imagery required for upcoming print and digital advertising, were completed and transferred to the client on time, providing Sunbelt with a substantial library of ready-to-use commercial content.
