LUNA TIDES was commissioned by Bad Wolf to support the digital promotion of The Winter King, delivering both video and audio content as part of the production’s wider campaign.
The project brought together two distinct areas of production under one team: capturing Electronic Press Kit (EPK) material on active filming sets, alongside recording and producing the show’s official companion podcast for Spotify. Working across both formats allowed us to provide a joined-up production service, with a consistent approach to quality, scheduling and delivery across the campaign.

The project called for the simultaneous capture of high-end visual assets and episodic audio content during active production blocks. Our role covered stylised behind-the-scenes footage and cast interviews for international publicity, alongside the full technical and creative production of the show’s official companion podcast.
The challenge was to manage both workflows within a high-security, fast-moving television production, working around the principal photography schedule without disrupting the main unit.
To manage the dual requirements of the project, LUNA TIDES worked closely within the show’s existing operational structure. We reviewed daily shooting scripts and block schedules to identify opportunities for cast interviews around the filming schedule, allowing us to make efficient use of available time without affecting the main unit.
A small, self-contained crew worked across active locations, adapting quickly to changes as the schedule developed. This allowed us to capture high-quality publicity footage and record the podcast interviews within the same production window, while keeping our footprint small and unobtrusive.
The project delivered a complete network-compliant digital and audio asset package on schedule, ready to support the show’s wider marketing and publicity activity. Promotional video assets were formatted and prepared for distribution, while the official companion podcast was produced and delivered across Spotify, Apple Podcasts and other podcast platforms.
By managing both formats within the same production workflow and working seamlessly alongside the main unit, LUNA TIDES delivered a streamlined, reliable solution that maintained the required standards for premium television production.
