OUR RELATIONSHIP
WITH

Warner Brothers

Our relationship with Warner Bros. began in 2022, when LUNA TIDES was brought in to support a series of training, brand and promotional projects connected to its CrewHQ training programme. With a clear focus on developing skills and supporting the next generation of film and high-end television crew, Warner Bros. needed content that felt authentic, high-quality and grounded in the realities of working in a live production environment.

Alongside the creation of bespoke training and lesson resources for CrewHQ, we collaborated on a range of high-profile projects, including industry event coverage at BAFTA around the release of Barbie and documentary content following trainees working on House of the Dragon. Produced across the UK, from London to North Wales, this work demonstrated LUNA TIDES’ ability to deliver consistently across different locations and production environments.

The wider relationship has resulted in a substantial body of content supporting Warner Bros' training, brand and promotional activity, much of which continues to be used to showcase its productions, people and investment in the next generation of industry talent.

The team understood the scale and ambition of the project.

  • Warner Bros. Discovery commissioned LUNA TIDES to document the CrewHQ programme, a skills and employability initiative designed to help aspiring film and television professionals develop industry knowledge, gain practical experience and access career opportunities within the screen sector.

Spanning six months, the project called for engaging video content that could capture the journey of the programme, showcase the experiences of its participants and demonstrate its impact to stakeholders, partners and future cohorts. The content needed to reflect both the scale of the initiative and Warner Brothers Discovery’s commitment to developing the next generation of creative talent in Wales.

  • Given the scale and six-month duration of the CrewHQ programme, LUNA TIDES began with an extended research and discovery phase, working closely with the Warner Bros. Discovery team to understand the structure, objectives and key stages of the programme.

With training taking place in a live, fast-paced environment over an extended period, the production approach needed to remain flexible and responsive. We adopted a documentary-led format, allowing us to work naturally within the programme rather than following a rigid filming structure. This gave us the flexibility to respond to changes on the ground, capture authentic moments and build a versatile library of content that could be shaped around different deliverables and audiences during post-production.

Throughout the project, we maintained broadcast-level standards across filming, sound and post-production, ensuring the final content reflected the quality and expectations of the film and television industry while remaining efficient and unobtrusive on location.

  • LUNA TIDES delivered more than 1,000 finished video and photography assets, supporting both the launch and ongoing delivery of the CrewHQ programme. Core outputs included a brand film, content for the CrewHQ launch event at BAFTA London, and documentary-style films following trainees working on House of the Dragon.

Alongside these primary deliverables, LUNA TIDES provided consultancy support for Warner Bros. Discovery’s new podcast and in-house creative studio, including technical specifications for video and audio equipment.

A substantial library of graded, finished footage was also supplied for archival and educational use, allowing content to be repurposed internally and by partner organisations such as Creative Wales. These assets continue to support training delivery and promotion across the CrewHQ programme, extending the value and longevity of the work beyond its initial launch.

The project was well received by stakeholders, with the quality of the content and collaborative approach praised throughout production. The resulting library has become a valuable resource for communicating the programme’s impact, supporting its delivery and showcasing opportunities to the next generation of screen talent.
